Today, Cobb Tuning announced the release of its all new Double
Adjustable Shifter for the 6 speed Subaru Impreza WRX STi.  Retaining the reverse lock-out functionality while offering adjustability of the knock height and throw distance for the 6 speed transmission presented a new engineering challenge for Cobb. The solution was a design so revolutionary, it even prompted the company to update all of their other Double Adjustable shifters.

Designed using CAD technology, the COBB Blue anodized billet shifter body is CNC machined from 6061 Aluminum.  Like Cobb's original design, the shift throw distance and shift knob height are independently adjustable and both can easily be adjusted with the shifter installed in the vehicle. Stainless Steel socket head screws are set in a counter bore for a flush mount and provide a clamping force that firmly holds the upper and lower slider shafts in place. This new design improves the ease of making adjustments while also being significantly stronger. This new Cobb unit leaves reverse lockout fully functional at any desired knob height or throw distance.  This product features an OEM style delrin sleeve on the upper shaft for smoother reverse lockout engagement and vibration dampening. 

This shift kit is compatible with the factory shift knob or any aftermarket knobs designed to replace the factory unit.
