Current Nissan 350Z owners, eat your heart out. A U.K. Magazine Autocar has leaked information that a new Nissan model called the 450Z is in development and will boast a V8 engine and all wheel drive similar to Audi's Quattro system. European drivers may have to wait as far as getting their hands on one of these though, as Nissan still has to modify the engine to meet Euro IV standards for release in that region.
It is rumored that this car is being designed to compete with the likes of Porsche and other European hotrods. With 400 horsepower though, this Z will definitely give them a run for their money.

This was a rumor speculated a few months back and really has no truth to it. Nissan still hasn't decided to sell the GTR as a V8 and is still leaning toward the 450hp 3.7L Twin Turbo engine.
It's difficult to see Nissan breaking a 35 year tradition of the Z being a 6-pot and RWD.

IF they can develop a 4.5L V8 that weighs as much as a 2.0L inline 4 then i'll consider it. I'm sick of manufacturers making heavy-ass cars with humongous engines taking up the whole engine bay (allowing very little modifications which are more costly and require more specialist, expert handiwork and know-how) throwing off the weigh distribution of the car. Go ahead Nissan UK, bring out a stupid fat and heavy car with a GTR badge on it, and i'll just get an R32 or 34 GTR and stick a 400hp big single turbo on it. Twin Turbo or big single is the Nissan way, not v8 u pommie dicks - Blair already has u following the Americans in conquesting iraq (for America, not the UK mind you), and now you wanna adopt their motor engineering ethos/slogans as well
Bring back the Silvia. Assholes.

I wish this was true, as I feel the 350 z is not a true sports car, it is just a v6 that makes alot of noise. If a mitusbishi evolution (Lancer) can beat it till 60 mph, then I aint interested. To be quite honest, Nissan should of released the 350z as a 450z with 400 hp from the beginning. But the pic is fake, there is no 450 z , that yellow 350z is the special edition, anniversary 350z available in yellow or black only.

I don't think by any means they are following the American V8 fantasy. If this be the case, does that mean the Ferrari 355 or 360 Modena are wannabe Corvettes only because they share the same number of cylinders. The thing with Jap and Euro engines/motors, the manufacturers manage to extract power by means of sophisticated technology and advanced design/construction, as we know, the yanks rely ALMOST entirely on cubic inches and the odd supercharger.
I have no quamls about Nissian planning or even building this 450Z, I drive my old man's 260Z from time to time and I dream about how damn fine it would go with a close ratio 6 speed, a smallblock V8 and four paw drive... One can only dream...
If Nissan can get power without making the engine overly heavy or bulky (alla Ford Australia's XR8 'BOSS' motor), and still get great power from it, then good on them, four paws, lets go, I hear the handling id great on these 350's, why not make it better
Are the Murcealago's and Gallardo's lesser 'Supercars' because they have 4WD, I don't think so, they are AMAZING!
