Similar to the S203, the S204 comes standard with super high performance tires by Pirelli, the P ZERO’s. In addition to the performance benefits they offer, these particular tires are durable, resist abrasion, and work effectively at combating all the various road surfaces in Europe. These tires come mounted on lightweight, Aluminum Forged BBS wheels in size 18 x 8.5.
Braking
The braking system includes an outer ventilation type brake rotor. Since the hat is on the outside of the rotor, wobble behavior due to thermal deformation during prolonged performance driving is decreased. In addition, high quality brake pads are used to give the brakes improved bite on the rotor. This high flow design also provides additional resistance to brake fade.

The wrx looks fine we need the 2dr version to come out again, one thing it doesnt look beasty like the 2000 wrx model, with got young drivers still chasing after those wrx's, they should consider in creating a model where it would stand out like the nissan 200sx s15 Gt and affortable price and more security devices to get the insurance cheaper for yong drivers.

The horsepower is supposed to be rated at 320. The front lip and the rear spoiler make the car look a lot better. The lip adds aggresion while the spoiler is more subtle than the "bling wing" on the usual STI's. I wish I had one!

Never thought I'd be caught dead in a Subaru but I've had an 04,05 & 06 Sti & loved all of 'em - especially in the snow and rain. Yeah, they are slightly underpowered, the handling is really squirrely until you learn on how to compensate for the understeer one moment and the turning-in the next moment. And they all have eaten up the rear struts in about 10,000 miles. But for a cheap car they're worth every penny as far as I'm concerned. My buddy bought an EVO and wouldn't buy another one. Hey, Subaru!!! You're overdue for more horsepower - it's been 3 years. We're getting really bored.
(Posted by an unknown user) Rating
It has 320 hp and correction: after the initial 600, 200 more were released for a total of 800. 100 to UK to surpass the ever popular EVO, and the other 100 undecided
anyways, Subaru's spokes person said that the s204 was really to be on par with BMW Ms, and Mercedes AMGs. Doesnt quite make the cut after looking at the specs however. In Japan it goes on sale for just about 43,000 US currency.
Is it worth as much as a beamer Its probably worth more, but hopefully 2007 will bring about a second generation of s204 that can keep up with AMGs..

he car pumps out 320 hp at 6,400 rpm, while torque is up slightly to 319 pound-feet at 4,400 rpm thanks to a remapped ECU and a more efficient intake system. The 0-to-62-mph sprint is expected to take around 4.5 seconds, with a sub-13-second quarter-mile and a top speed of 155 mph.

I am sorry to see the rally inspired look gone from the latest Impreza. The new cars are now in the same class with BMW and Mercedes. That's fine, and they are doing a great job, but I will stick with my 2001 2-door RS. I'm sure I can produce 320 hp with the $30,000 that I will save.

Commentiers:
I am lucky enough to own an S204 - had it about 3 months now. Couple of things to say about it so far:
1) Have hardly used the brakes. I mean it corners fantastically...unbelievable really, so much fun.
2) Had it up to 220km/hr which was about 6000rpm in sixth gear.
3) Going from say 50 up to say 160km/hr the car sounds like it is sucking the entire atmosphere through the inter-cooler...an addictive sound.
4) Haven't really heard to reported exhaust character change above 6krpm yet...still supposed to be running in the engine.
5) Car is sedate around town but stiff springs send most bumps through your spine. Car is best out on open roads - in its element really.
6) Recaro seats hug you in real tight...but not being slim it feels like a lion has mauled your butt after 3 hours in the seat...but top section brilliant. Am looking at ways to preserve my bum better.
Hope this helps...

The car looks better, but it will be a few more years before it is in the same class as a Bimmer or Mercy! I wonder how much this vehicle weighs? Haveing only 320 hp is too low to compare to the upcoming M3 and Lexus IS500. However, I think this car in the right hands can and will spank a few M3s out there, but NOT a Z06! Not even close!
