Racecomp Engineering KOOL Brakes for Subarus
Racecomp Engineering is proud to announce the Kool Brake Kit, the next addition in their line of innovative high performance products for street and track oriented Subaru vehicles.

Made with aircraft grade aluminum, this kit was designed to kool and vent the braking system, thus reducing rotor temperatures. Initial testing at Summit Point Raceway showed up to a 200° F drop in rotor temperature when using aggressive pads.  Testing was done with Pagid Blue RS-42, Pagid Yellow RS-19 and the new RS-29 brake pads. Designed to work with both stock STi rotors and any aftermarket 2 piece rotor, the duct is available in either black or red.  Initial testing with the open hose routed through the fender liner into the foglight area.

We used beveled edges for the 3 inch duct and a crinkle finish for the powder coat. Included in this kit is 12 feet of high temp silicone hose and 4 Stainless Steel clamps. Extreme high temp hose is also available at extra cost.  Due to the wide variety of routing possibilities that users may use, fog light inlets are not provided at this time.

The Racecomp Engineering Kool Brake Kit is currently used by Gary Sheehan and the ESX Motorsports Subaru Impreza WRX STI racing team in the SCCA SPEED World Challenge series.
