aFe’s Cotton Lung Makes 10HP On The SRT8
Discuss This Article

Corona, CA: The HEMI is one of the most nostalgic names in American muscle car engine history. Named after the early hemi-spherical Dodge/Chrysler combustion chamber, the HEMI has always meant big power and big cubic inches. In keeping with the tradition of the HEMI, aFe is offering their Stage 2 Cold Air Intake System for the entire HEMI-powered Chrysler sedan line. The PN 54-10712 intake system will fit ’05 and newer Magnums, 300Cs and the performance inspired SRT8.

Power pulls on aFe’s Superflow dynomometer produced 10 additional horsepower, with a 16 lbs.ft. increase in torque. In addition to the added muscle, the Stage 2 Intake System magnifies the outstanding rumble from under the hood. Want more fuel mileage? More air means greater efficiency and ultimately better fuel economy.

The system features a 5.5-inch inverted top filter and heat-resistant rotomolded intake tubing. The 54-10712 also boasts a powder coated 16-gauge steel filter housing, which is responsible for sealing the intake path away from unwanted engine heat. When the hood is closed, the top of the intake assembly seals against it, forcing air from underneath the vehicle directly into the path of the filter.

Installation requires only basic hand tools and requires no welding, cutting, drilling or fabricating. In less than 90-minutes your HEMI can undergo a transformation from mild to wild!

I HAD A LOCAL TRUCK SHOOP INSTALL AN AFE STAGE 2 ON MY 05 DODGE MAGNUM AND THE HORSEPOWER DIDNT SEEM TO JUMP UP RIGHT AWAY. BUT AFTER ABOUT 95 MILES I FELT AN INCREASE IN POWER AND AFTER I HIT AROUND 110 MILES THE POWER IS MUCH MORE NOTICABLE. I LOVE MY HEMI AND ITS GOT A AFE COLD AIR INTAKE. BY THE WAY IT SOUND EVEN AWESOME THAN IT DID BEFORE. GREAT PRODUCT!
