Date: January 12 (Fri.) to January 14 (Sun.), 2007 Venue: Makuhari Messe, Halls 1-8 and Event Hall
We are
pleased to announce the holding of TOKYO AUTO SALON 2007 with NAPAC, the world’s biggest custom car show, from
January 12 to 14, 2007 in International Exhibit Halls 1-8
and the Event Hall of the Makuhari Messe in Mihama-ku, Chiba, Japan.
This event
traces its history back to the Tokyo Exciting Show first held in 1983 as a
forum for establishing the custom car culture.
The name was revised to TOKYO AUTO SALON in 1987,
and this year will mark the event’s 25th anniversary. The last show
featured exhibits by 341 companies,
organizations and schools, with around 650 vehicles and the latest items on display to an audience of 249,292 visitors. Custom cars
are vehicles manufactured by auto makers that have been customized in various ways by their owners.
Customization can take
many forms, from improvement (tuning) of the
performance and calibration of interior components such as engines, drive systems and suspension, to the aesthetic remodeling
(dress up) of a car’s interior and exterior
to suit the owner’s style. Custom cars are vehicles that uniquely
answer to the great diversity of owner tastes
and preferences, representing a growing market phenomenon.
At the TOKYO
AUTO SALON 2007 with NAPAC, around 300 commercial and institutional exhibitors, including aftermarket parts makers, car
custom shops, auto makers, companies in related
industries and schools will be represented. Custom cars, as well as
customization tools, technologies and parts
will be on display, along with goods for purchase and events featuring appearances by celebrities and famous race
drivers.
